Libraries
Antigonish has a rich educational background evidenced by the existence of St. Francis Xavier University and the Coady International Institute.
St. Martha's Regional Hospital
Founded in 1906, St. Martha's Hospital offers health services to the Town of Antigonish as well as the Counties of Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, and Inverness.

The St. Francis Xavier University Art Gallery opened in 1976 to provide a new cultural dimension for Antigonish, its surrounding regions and the University. The Gallery acquires high quality art works with the Maritimes – Nova Scotia in particular – as the subject matter. The Gallery also showcases the work of St. Francis Xavier University students.
