The Town of Antigonish has partnered with Antigonish Challenger Baseball to enhance accessibility at Recreation facilities in our community.
Meaningful Community Enhancements
The goal is simple: Let’s All Play!
This partnership between the Town and Challenger Baseball is devoted to meaningfully improving access to our community’s public play areas.
The Town and Challenger Baseball will be working with the community to develop a list of desired accessibility enhancements that will be completed in the years to come.
Each year a new project on the list will be undertaken with the support of community fundraising. The Town and Challenger Baseball will split the cost of the projects 50/50. All funds donated to these projects will go towards Challenger Baseball’s contribution. Any money raised over and above the set project amount will be earmarked for future accessibility projects.
The Town and Challenger Baseball are looking for community support to help support these projects. All funds donated to this effort will be used to make Antigonish a safer and more inclusive place to play!
The Town’s collaboration with Antigonish Challenger baseball ensures that these projects and community enhancements are driven by those with accessibility needs. The first-voice perspective on projects like these is vital in how our play spaces are adjusted to be accessible for children with cognitive, sensory and/or physical disabilities.
