Low-Income Property Tax Exemption

Applications for the Low-Income Property Tax Exemption are now available for homeowners living in the Town of Antigonish. 

Residents who are currently living in their home and have an annual household income of $35,000 or less are eligible to apply. 

Homeowners must provide a copy of their 2025 Notice of Assessment with their application. The total tax exemption will now range from $250 to $750, depending on household income. Applications require a signature from a Commissioner of Oaths, a Town Councillor, or a Notary Public.

The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, May 31 at 4:30 p.m. Completed applications can be submitted at the front counter of Town Hall Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Outside of these hours, completed applications can be left in the drop box located at the front door of Town Hall.
