Please be advised there will be paving work on College Street on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 weather permitting. This work is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. 

Temporary traffic measures will be in place. Where delays are expected, motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination and consider an alternative route.  Motorists and pedestrians should travel with caution when entering the work areas.  

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please be advised the Town of Antigonish will be conducting sewer cleaning from October 23 to October 27 in various locations around the Town. Temporary traffic measures will be in place. 

While the risk of backflow into homes is very low, residents are advised to keep toilet seat covers down whenever possible during this work period as a precaution. If residents experience an unpleasant odor, run water into each drain to refill the plumbing traps. 

The Town thanks residents for their patience and understanding as this work is conducted. 

Please be advised Public Works will be conducting asphalt crack sealing on various streets in the Town of Antigonish on Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19.  

Temporary traffic measures will be in place during this work including stop-and-go traffic and temporary localized street closures with detours.

Please be advised the Town of Antigonish will conduct water main valve work on Pleasant Street beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17. 

Residences on Pleasant Street, between College and Hawthorne Street, as well as Acadia Street may experience low water pressure and water discoloration. 

Traffic control measures will be in place with Acadia Street and Pleasant Street, between College and Hawthorne Street, being open to local traffic only.
