Notice of Project Commencement
Today, we announce the commencement of a project to prepare a new plan that will become a big step on the road to sustainable transportation for the Town of Antigonish and Municipality of the County of Antigonish. Jointly, the Town and County have embarked on an Active Transportation (AT) planning study that will be of interest to all residents. This new plan will identify a number of strategic priority areas to improve pedestrian and cycling conditions in the Town and County.

Preauthorized Payments

"The Town is now gathering banking information from those utility customers who wish to pay their water and electric bills using preauthorized payments. If you wish to have your bills paid in this manner, email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your banking information, or drop off a void cheque at Town Hall, and identify which accounts you wish to include in this payment option.
The Town is also considering monthly budget payment plans for taxes and utilities. This option will only be offered on a preauthorized payment basis only. You may contact us if that is of interest to you."

Fire Inspection Policy

The Town, at its September meeting of Council, approved a Policy concerning the establishment of a System of Fire Inspections. It is intended that this policy will fulfill the Town's obligations concerning inspection as required under the Provincial Fire Safety Act and Regulations. The Policy in it's entirety may be found
