Town of Antigonish Residential Waste Collection Program

As part of our fall cleanup season, the Town of Antigonish reminds residents to follow proper procedures for disposing of leaves and yard waste. Doing so helps keep our streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems clean and safe.

Drop-Off Option

Residents can bring large amounts of leaves and yard waste to GFL on Adam Street during regular business hours.

• Up to ½ ton accepted per resident
• Branches must be no larger than 2 inches in diameter

Green Bin Option

Smaller amounts of raked leaves can be placed in your green bin for regular curbside collection.

Important Reminders

• No curbside pickup of loose leaves
• Do not allow leaves to blow into the street, as wet leaves can be slippery and cause safety hazards
• Leaves and debris can clog catch basins, increasing the risk of localized flooding
