Due to the recent rainfall, water utility customers in Town and the fringe area may notice reduced water service and pressure. The rainfall has caused water production issues and staff are working restore regular water service levels.

A significant amount of rain is expected over the next couple of days. Please check around your home to make sure the water has a place to go. The frozen ground will limit the amount of rainfall/snow melt that will be absorbed.

Please be advised that Pleasant Street from College Street to Hawthorne Street, as well as Acadia Street is closed to the vehicle traffic. Detours will be place. The Town of Antigonish apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
