The Town of Antigonish Council recently adopted an exciting new development policy that is intended to result in a lot more people living in our commercial core, contributing to a thriving, walkable community.
The change will allow, through site plan approval, higher density residential development to locate behind commercial buildings. It includes up to 7 storeys, and a 2.0 floor area ratio, on lots known as ‘flag lots’, so-called because of their limited street frontage.
