Please be advised that the Town of Antigonish will be conducting spring hydrant flushing in the Town and fringe areas on May 16, 17, and 18 during daytime and evening hours.  

System users may experience low water pressure and/or water discoloration while this activity is being done.

The Town of Antigonish apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Spring 2023 Bulky Waste Pickup will take place on May 8, 9, and 10 for Town residents. Please see the attached poster for more details and information. Pick-up will be done on your normal collection date. For more information please click here.

Please be advised the Main Street east bound lane between College Street and Church Street will be closed to motorists between 6 and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15. 

In addition the sidewalk from the Credit Union to the Kirk Building will be closed during this time period. Detours will be in place to direct traffic around the work area.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to please use caution when approaching and entering these work areas. 

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The washrooms at Columbus Field will be closed for the foreseeable future as a result of individuals who broke into the building after hours and caused significant damage to the sinks and plumbing. Repairs are currently underway, however, they will take time to complete. Portable washrooms have been brought in for the public to use in the meantime.

Repairs were also recently done on some of the playground equipment after acts of vandalism. These are extremely disappointing instances, and we ask the public to please report any suspicious or unlawful activity to the Town or RCMP.
