The Town of Antigonish has awarded five new tenders that move forward several key infrastructure projects in alignment with the Town’s Strategic Plan. These projects reflect ongoing efforts to renew and strengthen critical assets, including streets, sidewalks, and wastewater systems, while improving accessibility and safety in public spaces.
As part of our fall cleanup season, the Town of Antigonish reminds residents to follow proper procedures for disposing of leaves and yard waste. Doing so helps keep our streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems clean and safe.
Drop off gently used or new clothing at the Antigonish Library on Friday, October 24th, from 1 PM to 5 PM or on Saturday, October 25th, from 8 AM to 10 AM.
The Fall 2025 Session of Moving & Mingling is a free, 8 week fitness program for older adults and a social hour.

Antigonish, N.S. - Yesterday, the Town of Antigonish responded to a major water main break that affected our municipal water system. At around 11:30 a.m., a contractor working in the Gravel Pit Road area accidentally damaged the main water line that carries water from the James River Dam to the Town’s water treatment plant.
