Antigonish Town and County have announced a joint investment of $37,800 through the federal Housing Accelerator Fund to support Antigonish Community Transit Society (ACTS).
The Town of Antigonish will be doing their Spring bulky waste pickup on Monday, May 5th, Tuesday, May 6th, and Wednesday, May 7th.
The Bulky Waste collection is an opportunity for Town residents to dispose of unwanted items that do not fit in a regular garbage bag.
Please note that collection will only happen once in your neighbourhood and is based on your regular garbage pickup day.

On March 26, 2025, the Nalikitquniejk – Antigonish Equity, Anti-Hate, and Anti-Racism Plan was officially approved by both the council for theTown of Antigonish. This is a joint plan with the Municipality of the County of Antigonish and reflects a shared and ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive, respectful, and equitable Antigonish for all who live, work, and visit here.
The Town of Antigonish is pleased to share that on March 26, 2025, the Updated Accessibility Plan was approved by Council. The update comes in compliance with Nova Scotia's Accessibility Act, which requires public sector bodies to review and refresh their accessibility plans every three years.
